Just a small test with the Minolta MD f1.7 50mm lens, there’s a crop of about 1.6 so it shoots up to around 80 mm. The reason it’s so shaky is because there’s no image stabilization, it’s an 80’s lense though is great for the price Minolta f2.8 28mm with the NEX:

Southport Beach, South Australia. Testing Canon 550D 1080P HD movie mode. Various Lenses – mainly Minolta mount Tamron 600mm Lens, but also Sigma 35 – 70mm Minolta lens, 50mm Minolta Rokkor Lens and the standard Canon 18- 55mm lens. Windy day – but an old Miller Tripod held it steady. Tried out some colour correction on shots (that’s why they repeat twice sometimes – so I can compare).
